Hi All,
Suppose this question has been asked a thousand times but I'll ask again.
My on-board video has gone AWOL - it gives weird colours and fuzzy text. The
PC only has PCI adapters (2) and I can't get a PCI graphics card here in
Kuwait (Amazon - US and UK will not ship neither will any other on-line
reatailer I can find).
Have also trioed updates to video drivers with no success.
So I need to buy a new PC - But I have XP Pro and Office 2007 OEM.
Can I re-install these on a new PC or is HAL going to give me problems (an
ancient Space Odyssey term)?
The MS license says that the software is 'one' with 'the device'. this to me
is the hard drive. I don't have a problem in installing the HD in the new PC
but guess that I'll be at odds with MS..........
Other software sites (like Developer Express) record how many times one
installs and uninstalls their hardware via the internet. So they keep track.
Why can't MS do the same???
Have no problem in uninstalling from the old PC and installing on a new one
- from the same IP address too.
I'm not trying to cheat MS, just use their software on one PC.
Any help/comments appreciated.
