reinstalling windows xp

i have tried to reinstall windows xp but when it says
registering components it just stops. apparently i have to
get a new product key because you can only reinstall it
twice. what do i do?
 
Dan, if it's the same Computer you can reinstall it more than twice.
Disconnect most of the unneeded devices and go
into the Bios and select Failsafe or Optimal Settings.
