reinstall

Hi, all
My XP Pro has sth wrong, All Programs->xxxx( such as accessoris) -> I can
only see a transparency frame, can not the see the menu items of the sub
menu. I don't wnat to reinstall every application again. Could someone
please advise me how to solve this problem?

XP doesn't create transparent sections of the Start Menu. However some
shell tweaking programs and some desktop management programs can do this.
Example: I was recently using "Hydravision" with my ATI adapter and had the
option turned on. It worked reliably but didn't like the transparent effect
in some of the areas it was showing up in and turned it off.

The point being that sometimes menu fonts or a page of text can go missing
with these third party apps. Figure out what program you have this enabled
in and turn it off. Restart (or log off/log on) to see if the text for the
menus returns.
