reinstall xp home

due to a worm dialer i that i can not erase, i want to
delete my os xp home and reinstall it . i then hope that
worm will be erased. is this a correct move? my pc is new
and offcourse my xp home original. how can i do this. are
the steps diff.? i know how to make the bios boot from the
cd.
the norton only finds it and then it appears again.
it calls a 0024 international number.
help?

Have you downloaded all the updates for WinXP? This may
sort the problem out. You might find that if you format
the computer it could come again when you reinstall. Its
a common XP problem!
