Reinstall of Office 2000

Recently installed Windows XP and also trying to
reinstall the Windows office 2000 from a CD.

Installation begins and then this message pops up:
'error 1305 error reading from file
f:/pfiles/vstudio/common/IDE/IDE98/mse/1033/asp.chm'

How to correct this and be able to reinstall office 2000?
