How can I reinstall the computer management console. I need to get my disk
defragmenter to work. When I click on it in system tools I get an error
message.

Microsoft Management Console
Snap-in failed to initialize
Name: Disk Defragmenter
CLsid; {43668E21-2636-11D1-AlCE-0080C88593A5}

Thanks

Check that your 'Path' statement includes;

%SystemRoot%\System32\WBEM

Control Panel|System|Advanced|Environment Variables|System Variables|Path

Thanks for the info, but I see the 'Path' statement. Here is what my Path
statement has. Do you see any thing wrong?

%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;c:\Python22;C:\Program
Files\PC-Doctor for Windows\services;C:\Program Files\Common Files\Roxio
Shared\DLLShared;C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QTSystem\

Thanks for your help in advance.

Looks Ok. What happens if you;
Start|Run|mmc|File|Add/Remove|Add|Standalone|Add|"Disk
Defragmenter"|Add|Close|Ok and save it to the desktop?
