Defragmentation issue

When I try to run the defragmentation tool in Windows XP
I get the following error:

"Snap-in failed to initialize.
Name:<unknown>
CLSID:{43668E21-2636-11D1-A1CE-0080C88593A5}"

Then it opens Disk Defragmenter windows saying:

"Snap-in Creation Failed."

Any ideas how to fix it.

I was able to run the defrag.exe at the command line but
would like to use the Windows XP tool.

Thanks,

GuigoCLT

Run the edit on line 291 here:

You might need the one on line 280 as well.Reboot and try defrag again.
Bookmark this site you may need it sometime in the future.
