Hi Will,
I copied the protected storage file and saved it as instructed for xp users
then the instructions ask you to delete the subkey under protected storage
which is a long string of numbers interspersed with hyphens. It says to
highlight that key go to edit and select delete but I get a message saying
error cannot delete xxxxx-xxxxxx-xxxxxx etc etc error deleting message. I
have full administrator permissions but just cannot delete the subkey. How
can I get my outlook to work properly again if I cannot apply this regestry
fix?

Hi

Is your account name in Permissions>Group or user names? If not, you will
need to add it so that you can then delete the key.

It is already in Permissions>User Groups
This is what I have

Administrators (Tim1/Administrators) >>>> Full Control and Read
Dad (Tim1/Dad)>>>>> Full Control and Read
Restricted >>>Read
System >>>> Full Control and Read

Where do I go from here?
