"Microsoft antispyware has allowed the Windows service McAfee spamkiller
server to be installed Service: McAfee spamkiller server". There are 2 of
these in my registry. Will removing them with registry cleaner cause a
problem? They have not been removed with normal cleaning operation. I have
not been able to install Computer Associates anti spam and firewall and think
this may be the problem.

Wouldn't you rather contact Computer Associates technical support or
McAfee technical support instead of playing around with a toy that can
do unrepairable harm to your computer?

You can either try Mcafee removal tool or try to gain control on the keys
(legacy keys) by right click on them and select permissions and give your
account/yourself a full control and then remove them, are you able?, did you
tried in safe mode?.

How to uninstall or reinstall supported McAfee consumer products using the
McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool (MCPR.exe)
