Registry Cannot delete entries

Using msconfig, I have a webdialer entry. But it does not exist in c/prog/etc. I can search the registry and find the entries(several) and then delete them. But even before I exit the registry they are back???? It seems the the registry has an 'automatic memory' and restores them immediately!! How come????

Have you tried the usual programs that help to remove these things yet?

AdAware: www.lavasoftusa.com
SpyBot Search and Destroy: www.safer-networking.org

Spyblaster: http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

A quick online check for adware, spyware, hijackers and other nasties:

There are links on that page leading to doxdesk.com, a site well-known for
accurately documenting various parasites. Another good resource site for
info on parasites: http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/

As someone else posted, it is best to use a spyware removal program to
get rid of these. Some dialers have special companion programs that
reset the registry entries and reinstall the dialer every time you
remove it.

It is because you didn't kill/end the process via the Task Manager before
attempted to edit the registry.
