Registry access denied

when I right click on a file to perform an "open with" action I get a pop up
error which says "Registry Access Denied". When I OK this I then get to the
file actions I expect.

Anyone any idea why this occurs ?

I am running Win XP Home Edition.
 
Hi Baneski,

Is the error seen when accessing the "open with" menu for a particular file
type, or for all file types?
Does this happen when logged on as Administrator?
