How is it possible for me to be able to enable my
registery editor. In the event that an error message
says"registery editor has been disabled by your
administrator"? Please help

Hi:
since you don't mention which OS you have, I will
guess you have Windows XP Pro.

That issue is ussually caused by viruses or other bugs.
they disable the taskmanager, the registry editor and
the group editor. They disable in most cases all of them

In case you do have access to the group editor.
Start\Run\gpedit.msc\User Configuration\Administrative Templates\
System\"Prevent access to Registry Edition Tools"
change this directive to "not configured".

If you don't have access to the gpedit you need to run scans with
an updated antivirus, Ad-aware, Spybot S&D, Spyware Blaster, etc.

If your OS version is Home Edition, install the following programs.
as gpedit is not available in H Edition.

By chance are you in a network using group policies?

If I understand group policies correctly, your administrator can disable
your ability to edit the registry.

Spyware and other "malware" also do this, to prevent easy removal of offending software.
