Registering New Ownership

Let see... I have two hard drives. One is my original and has Office 97 on it. Drive two, I purchased from a previous employer and had Office 2000 on it (I uninstalled). I bought an upgrade for my Office 97 and installed it. Now, everytime I open the Office 2000 (mine) it displays the other company name and defaults there name and address. Why is it doing this since I uninstalled it.
 
Because you did not cleared the registry. That information is written on the
registry, and not on the programs themselves. You must have 'run' the
programs when they were registered to the other owner, and registered the
ownership on your main drive's registry. Uninstall (through the Control
Panel) and then clean the registry of Office information (search by "Office"
inside registry) then reinstall Office with your name and key.
