Access Upgrade

I recently purchased a new PC with Office Basic (Word, Excel and Outlook). I
had upgraded my old PC from Office Professional 97 to 2000. I now wish to
install Access to my new PC but only have my upgrade discs for the 2000
version (97 CD's went out in the trash). Can I upgrade my Basic 2003 to add
just Access from my 2000 upgrade disc?

Is Office Basic the same as Office Standard? If so, then it looks like
you can use the upgrade CD..... ref this site on eligibility:
http://www.microsoft.com/office/access/howtobuy/default.mspx#EXC

But the real proof is to just try it. When installing from the upgrade
CD, if the program asks you to insert a CD that proves you are
eligible, insert the Office Basic CD. Now if Office came "installed"
on the PC and you didn't get a CD, there could be a problem. In any
case, it probably wouldn't hurt to just call Microsoft and ask.
