Hi,

I tried to register a service in windows 2000 using SC cmd. But it failed.

How can I know what caused the failure of the service installation?

If you mean Install A Service you porbably want
INSTSRV.EXE or
SRVINSTW.EXE or possibly
SRVANY.EXE
