I have a P4 system running Win XP Home with an ADSL connection

Tried to install Zone Alarm, but the install failed to
complete. I am unable to re-install and run ZA. I tried
installing spybot S&D but it will not execute. Adaware will
run fine.

I tried to run regedit, so I could search for any remaining
fragments of ZA but regedit will not run. It pops up for a
split second and then disappears.

anyone have any ideas what else I can try?

Install antivirus software. If already installed, configure for maximum
protection and update virus definitions regularly. Scan for viruses.
