REGEDIT PROBLEM

When I run regedit, the program opens for a split second,
then closes.

It won't run at all to do any work on the registery.

Anyone have an idea? Thank you.

Paranoia comes from experience - and is not necessarily a bad thing.

You most likely have a virus. You can make a usable copy
of the regedit.exe and save it as a regedit.com to assist
you with virus removal.
If necessary do an online virus scan etc.
