Regedit permissions

Hello, may i say that my english isnt the best...
I was trying to make IE 7 work, but it said that i should change some
permissions in regedit, but now i have changed the wrong permissions so now
my computer is very very slow on doing things in windows XP i can use
programs and games but not windows... it takes about 5 mins before this
computer opens and the an other 5 mins before i can push C:

Can anyone please help me to get the permissions the Right way again so i
dont have to reinstall XP

Suggest you use System Restore to revert to a date before you started
messing with the Registry.

I have tried that, and it changed nothing. Still Slow...
