reformatting

i am trying to reformat and reinstall xp but am having trouble getting to dos prompt. i tried making a dos startup disk in the floppy formatting menu and tried downloading and running a win me boot disk. please help me clear my HD.

XP is not dos based . The XP install / recovery cd is bootable . Change bios
to boot to the cd and go for it . Jym
