I'm trying to do a full factory restore on my windows xp machine. When I try
to do the restore, I keep getting a message that tells me "The factory backup
of this system is missing or has been deleted. You must perform a backup
restore or use your System Restore Driver CD's to return this system to
working condition" I've tried doing a full restore from the restore CD like
it said, but it still will not reformat. Please Help

Did you repartition the drive and remove the factory partitions that were set
when you started the full factory restore? Sometimes the restore
files(applications etc) are kept on these partitions to restore it back to
the factory install to seave the company from sending you the whole CD with
the files. What kind of a PC is this?

Describe why the factory restore. Sometimes it's best to start with:
"What were the original symptoms that made you decide to do the
restore?" :)

I was wanting to do a facory restore because I picked up a virus. I have
nortons installed and it did not detect the virus. I also tried an online
virus scan that one of our IT people at wrok recomended. It detected the
virus, but it can not remove it. I'm slowly losing my digital pics, and some
other programs have been infected and will not run properly. I've tried to
reinstall them, but they keep coming up with erros each time.

I just checked out the website. That looks like a very nice system. Have
you called Customer Service and Support 800.800.8300 yet? You should have
24/7 service with this new product. I know that they should be able to help
or direct you in the right direction. Sry didn't respond yesterday. Had to
go into work where personal email is blocked.
