Reformat computer-reinstalled outlook-outlook pst 2 files

Sharon Kay

1) had to reformat computer; 2) reinstalled outlook; 3) started outlook &
filled out info it required; 4) it downloaded all my new files into outlook
BEFORE I could move my backed up pst file into the folder (to replace the
newly generated one)...now I have all my old emails in one pst file and my
new emails in another pst file.

How can I combine the e-mails into one file?

Please help!

Copy the information from one into the other. Close the one that is not the
default. If you can't close the one that is not your default, then you
transferred your data incorrectly and corrupted your Outlook profile. You
must them create a new one and transfer your data correctly.

I know where each file resides (the brand new pst file that imported all my
new e-mails...and the old back up file that has e-mails in it I still need).
....but how exactly do you copy one into the other?

I tried finding an import feature but it only seems to want to import from
other programs...not outlook 2007 to outlook 2007.

Thank you for your time.

Who said anything about importing? If you imported, that's probably how you
corrupted the profile in the first place. You never use import to transfer
Outlook data.
You're the one who said you had two files in your profile. You copy data
from one file to the other.
