reducing size of folder

my outlook accounts runs through an exchange server. When i look at
the properties of my mailbox 14Mb out of 100Mb is taken up by the
"Sync issues\conflicts" folder. I have 2 questions:
1)How do i reduce the size of this folder down to zero.
2)What causes the conflicts in the first place. is there anything i
can do on a regular basis to reduce conflicts?

For info i found out what to do.

In outlook 2003 go toTools, Mailbox Cleanup, - Bottom Option allows you to
delete the e-mails causing conflicts.
