Is there any way to remove the normal System Checkpoints that show no
specific events and retain the System Restore Points involving specific
events like Printer Drivers Installed?

No. You can remove all but the Last checkpoint in CleanMgr.exe. What you want
is NTBackUp.

First, just for a look at the GUI, go to start/run, and type: NTBackUp

Next type:
HH mk:@MSITStore:%windir%\Help\ntcmds.chm::/ntbackup_command.htm

That assumes NTBackup is installed, not the case by default with XP Home.
But it can be installed from the XP Home CD, it is in VALUEADD\MSFT\NTBACKUP
folder.

NTBACKUP is on retail Windows XP Home CDs, but not always OEM, it
depends on the OEM since these are optional files.

Thanks, to all of you.
I have NTBACKUP installed, but all I wanted to do is clear some disk space
and avoid so many restore point without a specific purpose.
So now I know it can't be done.
Thanks again.
