redirecting windows explorer

if I open my windows explorer it opens in the directory
c:\windows...

Suppose I would like it to open en point directly to d:\
is this possible?
 
Create a new shortcut and point it here:

C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe /e,D:\

(you can substitute and path after the comma that you want)
