Explorer and hard drive questions

When I open Explorer to see my hard drive and it's directories.
C: always opens and displays all the directories created on C:
But D: where I keep/install all my programs and files must be clicked on to
display it's contents.

Can I have D: also open fully displayed?
If so How.
As C: is just for Windows, I really don't need to display it's folders and
files.

Please and thank you.

Example: Create a shortcut to %SystemRoot%\Explorer /e,D:\

There are command line switches that can launch Explorer into any
specific driver and/or folder. Look in the Microsoft KB for the
full set of switches:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307856/en-us

For example, these are the commands I added to my Win XP Pro Start
menu to bring up 3 instances of explorer for the 3 partitions I
have - note that the drive/partition is the last switch:

%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e,c:\
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e,d:\
%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /e,e:\

If you have questions or I didn't understand what you need, please
clarify.
