Hi All

I just find out this expert forum. Hope that I can have solution to my
problem from the pro.

Since I am quite mobile, I frequently connecting using my mobile GPRS.
The problem is I always unable connect to internet for the second and so on
(redial / reconnect after the first one).

1. First time connect:
ipconfig /all
PPP adapter Siemens GPRS:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : WAN (PPP/SLIP) Interface
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-53-XX-XX-XX-XX
Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 10.129.79.170
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.255
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 10.129.79.170
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 202.155.14.251
202.155.14.253

2. After hang up first time connect:
ipconfig /all

PPP adapter Siemens GPRS:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : WAN (PPP/SLIP) Interface
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-53-XX-XX-XX-XX
Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 0.0.0.0
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 0.0.0.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 0.0.0.0

3. Second time redial / reconnect will always like this:
ipconfig /all
PPP adapter Siemens GPRS:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : WAN (PPP/SLIP) Interface
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-53-45-00-00-00
Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 0.0.0.0
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 0.0.0.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 10.129.79.170

PPP adapter Siemens GPRS:

Connection-specific DNS Suffix . :
Description . . . . . . . . . . . : WAN (PPP/SLIP) Interface
Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-53-XX-XX-XX-XX
Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : No
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 10.129.79.170
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.255
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 10.129.79.170
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 202.155.14.251
202.155.14.253

It always show double PPP. Then if I hang up for the second time and so on,
ipconfig /all will show like number 2. Redial / reconnect shows number 3.
I think this double PPP makes the problem. Looks like it's not unload
cleanly from memory/process.
Is there a way to clean / release PPP ?

This problem is very annoying since I have to restart my computer just to
redial / reconnect. Fyi, I have tried using cable and also bluetooth. But
have not tried using dialup by fixed line phone (and I don't want to try this
for the solution because I need mobile).

Thanks in advance. Anyone have any ideas?

I try to answer back myself.

I tried to search the same problem in the internet and I found some
interested experiences. They are almost similar to the my symptoms.
I am using bluetooth with Windows XP SP2 also
- http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?ForumId=8&TopicId=413
Using bluetooth and show PPP via Microsoft TV/Video connection interface
(after I recheck and recheck). I don't have S-Video out, but VGA output.

My workaround solution (just half an hour ago :D ):
Refer to:
I also use Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware SE Personal

Short explanation:
Refer to:
What I have done:
1. Run command: netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
To reset stack interface
2. Run WinsockXPFix.exe (first registry backup then second fix)
3. Restart
4. Then I am happy. :p
Please read reference web address before doing these steps.
Possibility running winsockXPFix.exe also run step no. 1. But doing step
no.1 is no problem.

I will still examine after I am happy. If there is still a problem, I will
post again.
If there is no post again, then I am very very happy.....

Thanks.
