See www.oehelp.com/noimg.aspx

Also, if its a forwarded message, then the images might not be showing due
to the email sender.

Try emailing yourself with a picture embedded and see if you get it
correctly.

Is this happening with all incoming emails that are supposed to have pictures?
Sometimes the originator put a faulty URL link where the picture should be.

Two other places to check:
Under Tools, Options, Read, make sure "Read all messages in
plain text" is not checked.
Under Tools, Options, Security, try selecting Internet zone instead
of Restricted Sites zone.

My computer is running Vista Ultimate. I have done all that is suggested in
these posts, but most pictures are still not coming through. If it is because
of how the sender sends them, is there anything I can do about that?

You will need to determine what is different about the emails
where the pictures don't show. Look at the raw source code
of the message (press Ctrl-F3) and compare a faulty email
with a successful one. What is different? My guess is that
the sender is not actually attaching the pictures but is merely
referencing a URL or a hard drive location.

What happens when you send an email with pictures to yourself?

I really can't figure out what all that stuff means, so I don't know what is
really the difference, but I presume that you're right in that they're
referencing a URL or a hard drive location. I don't usually have this problem
with Hotmail. (I just downloaded Windows Life Mail - maybe that will help).
Thanks for trying to help me though.
