Attachment doesn't appear in the body of the email

Hi,

I just received an email that also has an attachment. There is a spot for
the attachment (picture) to actually appear in the email--there is a red
square box with a little "x" on the upper left side where the picture should
be; but there is nothing in the box. But I can open the attachment with I
click on it. The attachment is:
image003.jpg(12.5KB).

I am running Vista Home Premium with Norton's 360.

Can anyone offer any suggestions? This is not the first time it is happening.

Thanks.

Go to Tools, Options, Security, uncheck "Block images..." and also
uncheck "Do not allow attachments..."

Also, go to Tools, Options, Read, and uncheck "Read all
messages in plain text".

If no improvement, your antivirus may be interfering.
Make sure your antivirus is not configured to scan emails.

Hi Gary,

I checked both the "Security" and the "Read" tabs that you told me to do and
all of mine were already not checked. I have Norton's 360 and I don't think
that it is compatable with WM so I doubt that it scans the emails. But just
in case it does, how do I find out? DO I have to call Nortons or is there a
way of checking it out on the computer?

Thanks,

Best way to do this is to uninstall Norton then re-install it without selecting the
email integration (scanning) option.
