Red X in place of picture

I use Vista Windows Mail. My cousin just got a new computer with Vista and
uses Windows Mail.

I have no problem receiving pictures from others and no problem with my
emails that I send.

When I receive emails from her it shows there is an attachment, but the
picture comes thru as the box with a red X. There is no yellow line above it
to click on. Right clicking the red X doesn't work. As long as her emails
show there is an attachment, why aren't her pictures coming through?

Try going to Control Panel>Internet Options>and delete Temporary Internet
Files & History.

Does "she" use MS Outlook?

If so then ask her to send messages to you in plain text.

Check your security settings at tools menu>options>security tab, is it set
to block images?

Try pressing Left Alt, V, H on your keyboard while viewing a mail with an
affected image, does that show it?

I am having the same problem. This just started about 5 days ago. I have been
using "windows mail" since Feb when I purchased a new laptop with Vista
installed. I tried the recomendations "Mac" provided but they did not work.
Wish I could go back to using "Outlook Express", I loved it.
