Recycle bin right pane view

I have posted this before.

I have a habit to see the date of delete of the files in recycle bin before
i permanently erase them.
Each time i open the recycle bin folder, the right pane view is always in
Tiles mode, even i have changed it to Details mode.

Vista has totally no memory about this. That is not something very difficult
but i do not know why xp can do it, but vista cant !

Tell me if it can.

Make sure that hidden files and system files are visible using folder
options icon on the classic control panel and then go and delete
the $RECYCLE.BIN folder on each drive- partition you have.

tell me if this helps

I know what you mean to show hidden files and systems file in folder
options.
But which classic control panel you mean?

Hi CBoom,

I have made it.
I just went to folder option to show hidden and system file, i dont see
anything special in the recycle bin (such as the $RECYCLE.BIN folder as you
mentioned).
Then i changed the view to detail view, and untick show hidden file in
folder option.
I then close window explorer and open it again, funny, it can remember the
last view.

Why? That is nothing special i have done.
Thanks for giving this trick.

I discovered that, each time i plug in an external mass storage devices such
as flash drive or external harddisk, the recycle bin folder view will change
back to List view, instead of previous Details view as i use to change to.
Really have no idea about it.
