Recycle Bin Doesn't Recognize Larger Hard Drive

I recently had a new hard drive installed which is much larger than the old
one. The new recycle bin is 320 gig and the old one was only 40 gig.

I'm running XP and the computer generally speaking is running very well.
But when I investigate properties of the recycle bin, I can't adjust the
capacity to exceed a specified percentage of the new larger hard drive.
Instead, when I specify 10% for example, the capacity is set to 10% of the
old smaller drive. If I want to delete an .iso file that is 8 gigs in size
for example, I can't put it into the recycle bin at all. I have to delete
it permanently, when it might be more prudent to just throw it in the
garbage for a few days before it's permanently deleted. It seems the
dumpster doesn't realize there is a new hard drive.

Can you please tell me where to make an adjustment that will correct this?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Sorry, I meant to say that the new "hard drive" is 320 gig instead of saying
"The new recycle bin is 320 gig..."

select "make active",close out.To format,after active,R.click on it,select
format.

Thanks Andrew, but the new disk is already active. It's just that the
recycle bin still thinks the old 40 gig hard drive is the active one.
