Recurring reminder problem

Outlook 2000 on my wife's Win XP computer periodically (once or twice a day)
pops up a reminder for a deleted event. When I try to dismiss the reminder
I receive a message saying that Outlook cannot find any item to delete and
warns that the reminder may appear again. Which it inevitably does. Is
there any way to permanently get rid of this nuisance? (The reminder, that
is!)

Try resetting the reminders. Click Start>Run and enter the following in the
Open field:

"%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office\Outlook.exe" /cleanreminders

Be sure to include the quotes and spaces.
