Recovery Messages

I use windows mail for my emails. Each time I log in to this I get 100's of
recovery messages and folders. I cannot delete them, have tried several ways
but they keep building up and taking up space. Cany anyone help? There are
over 200 of them on the left side where my folders are! Thanks!

I have often had to delete the contents before I can delete the Recovered
folder.

That problem seems to be a side effect of deleting the MSMessageStore files.
I see only two possible options to fix this:

a. Go through the somewhat laborious "Reset Windows Mail" process:

b. Upgrade to Windows Live Mail:

My problem was caused by transferring emails from my old computer to my new
computer. I used Easy Transfer. If I upgrade to Windows Mail Live will I
lose any of my messages and my folders?

They may not all import to Windows Live Mail, but they will still exist in
Window Mail.

There seems to be a limit on how many messages will be
imported automatically by WLM. I had about 1000, and it
transferred all of them, including all the folders.
There is no drawback to trying WLM, because you can
always go back to WM, or even run both programs.
