Recovery Console - BSOD

I installed Windows Recovery Console on an XP box. Since
my source CD is pre-SP2 and the box has SP2 installed, I
had to go thru the process to integrate the original and SP2
I386 folders, using the WindowsXP-KB835935-SP2-ENU.exe
file. The subsequent Recovery Console installation completed
with a sucess message, and Recovery Console appears as
an option on boot.

But when I try to boot Recovery Console I get BSOD. Would
appreciate ideas to diagnose and fix. Maybe I'm missing some
device driver??? (the machine has a SATA disk, but it must
be seeing that or the Recovery Console boot wouldn't start).

What is the complete Stop Error message?

Why are you trying to use the Recovery Console?

Hope this helps.

Gus, did you converted your boot drive from FAT32 to NTFS *after* you
installed the Recovery Console?
