Several months ago I did a recovery on my new system and the old stuff OS
files etc. went to my secondary drive aka D:. Relitively painless. But ever
since then my D: drive is named RECOVERY. how long do I keep that crap on
there, how do rid myself of it and do I have to live with all caps name
RECOVERY forever?

I have searched so many ways but to no avail.

I would appreciate anyone insite on this silly thing.

you can rename, format the drive
via the properties.

you can transfer all that data onto
a cd (or dvd which holds much more data)
using several methods.

if it is crap like you say, and none of it has
been uncrapped into your new o.s.,
then just flush the data, ie, reformat the drive....

Howdy, say. Seems like you should know how to rename a HDD. Go into
administrative tools\disk management? well you'll figure it out. Or just open
windows explorer and right click on the drive and then left click on rename.
I just a couple of seconds ago(while typing this I paused) and renamed my
PrimaryDrive too Systems Drive and it worked for me! Go for it.
