Stef

Hi,

I use a w2K pro with a network configuration on a portable
PC.
When I go on travel i disconect from our local network and
work on standalone without any pb. I'm actualy on a
buisness trip and I asked a local IT guy if I can use his
network connection to conect to our network. He done the
job and put me on his domaine but he diable my original
domain and together with this all my desktop and outlook
configuration. I ask him to set it up as before, but he
told me he can't, because to do so he need to have a
conection with my original network. He try several time to
change the domaine in "system proprerties" "Network
ientification" "properties" "domain"
but he get only the message "The specified domain either
does not exist or could not be contacted" What can I do to
recover my domaine together with my old config. I cna't
wait til I'm going back in 15 days to recovert it then.
thanks regards
stef

He is correct, you cannot rejoin it to the domain until you are back on your
network.
