Hello -
I resolved this problem before, about a year ago,
but this time this elusive tab has not returned.
It disappeared earlier today after I updated the
cdrw firmware.
The last time happened (also updating firmware) I seem to remember
tweaking this key:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\CD
Burning\Drives\Volume{3f0a94b0-1181-11d8-be5d-806d6172696f}]
"Drive Type"=dword:00000002
"CurrentCDWriteSpeed"=dword:ffffffff
"MaxCDWriteSpeed"=dword:00000030
However, it's already set - "drive type" 2 *is* a cdrw,
yet, the tab is not there.
I've tried setting imapi to automatic and to manual.
The service starts properly. When set to manual, it starts
as soon as Nero does (which I always thought was odd)
Still, the TAB in the device manager is AWOL.
Any thoughts?
Cheers,
Dave
