I have music (that I own) and want to mix an audio CD for my pleasure. This must be able to play in my car! I have .wma(s), .mp3(s), etc... the tracks on my regular CDs that I own are .cda(s)

When I try to play this on my car's stereo, it ejects and says "check CD". I tried the same CD on friends' players and they have the same thing happen in their car's CD player

What am I doing wrong?

Hi,
Firstly many CD-player don't support the CD-R format.
You can see that some CD-Player indicate they can read CD/CD-R on their
covers while oters don't.
Secondly, many CD-player only support cda format, don't support MP3 or WMA.
Please refer to your car's cd's UserGuide!
