cd burning

hi daughter is getting married, want to burn my cd's for
her, but wmp only copies them in wma file, not wav or mp3.
my cd creator will not recognize wma, is there a burner
that will, so that they can be played in audio player,
like car's, etc. and what do i do if the files are so
called protected, what is that? please help she's getting
married in nov. and moving too. thank's alot

You have to use the WMP's CD Burn fuinction to create audio CDs.
"Copying" files to a CD doesn't change their format.

There are a number of options you can do.

First, if you have windows xp, download WMP 10. Its a free
upgrade and it has the option to rip cd's in mp3 format.

If you don't have windows xp, you can download the free
version of music match, it has the option to rip cd's in
the mp3 format.

You can also download the free trial version of nero. It
recognizes wma files. Unfortunately the free version only
lasts for one month, after that, it costs a $100 dollars
to purchase.
