Receiving Fax with Computer Off

I am new to computers and have a Lexmark X75 4 in 1. I
have Windows XP. Can I receive faxes with my computer
off? If I can, how do I set up my printer and fax?

The device cannot be used as a standalone fax machine. The computer
must be turned on. The fax software runs on the computer. The
Setup guide does not say anything about connecting to a telephone
line. The device acts as a scanner to send a fax through the modem
already installed in the computer or attached to the computer. The
only external connections are the USB cable to the printer and the
power connection to the wall outlet.
