I don't know where you got it. There's at least one program of this name,
created for DOS: http://www.topcatcomputing.com/articles/displayarticle.asp?DocID=7
but if this just appeared you would probably know it (and a DOS program
wouldn't have had the smarts to create a Startup folder shortcut on its
own). Fidn the location of the actual file on yoru computer, right-click and
pick Properties, and see what you can learn about it.
I don't think that's it. I suspect something bad would happen if that
program executed at startup. It gets better. There's a copy in every
user's startup folder plus I found this: REBOOT.EXE-16C9AECF.pf in
Windows\Prefetch. I removed it from my startup folder with no apparent ill
effects, but I'm very curious.
