I can not open web page links in IE or OUTLOOK I have tried some of the fix's in the news group but to no avail i.e. the start run one's and the two that I have trouble with are

regsvr32 /i urimon.dll I press ok and the message I get is: loadlibery ("urimon.dll") failed the specified module could not be found

regsvr32 /i actxprxy.dll I press ok and the message I get is : regsva32 /i actxprxy.dll was loaded, but the DLLinstall entry point was not found this file can not be registered

Even tried reloading windows but still the same

Tried the IEFix.exe and it came up with these two things

Source: D\i386\DHTMLED.OC_
Target. c:\programfiles\commonfiles\micrcsoft shared\triedt\DHTMLED.OC
The target file exits and is newer than the sourc
Overwrite the newer file
(Yes) (No) (No to all

So when I press (yes) or (no) because I have tried it twice I get the same thing. And after that the next thing I get is

Source: D\i386\TRIEDIT.DL_
Target. c:\programfiles\commonfiles\micrcsoft shared\triedt\TRIEDIT.DL
The target file exits and is newer than the sourc
Overwrite the newer file
(Yes) (No) (No to all

Hope this makes sense to someone because it Don't to me, if anyone out there does have any real help the E-Mail address is real

You click on a hyperlink in and an IE window doesn't even open? See
http://www.oehelp.com/ielnk.aspx

You click on a hyperlink and an IE window opens but it doesn't load? Try,
in order:

1. (Re-)Installing 5.6 Scripting Engine from
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/downloads/list/webdev.asp

2a. Start>Run>Regsvr32 vbscript.dll

2b. Start>Run>Regsvr32 jscript.dll

3. Re-register all DLLs listed in http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=281679

4a. IE Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Browsing>Enable third-party browser
extensions (uncheck & reboot).

4b. Find the hijacker that caused 4a to be checked:

Dealing with Hijackware
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/Darnit.htm#tshoot
http://aumha.org/a/parasite.htm

You *must* seek updates for Ad-Aware, Spybot, etc., before each and every
use, even "right out of the box". But even then, they can't catch
everything. When all else fails, HijackThis
(http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post
your files to http://forums.spywareinfo.com/ or the Spyware forum at
http://forum.aumha.org/ for expert analysis, not here.**

As part of the hunt, also update your virus definitions and then run a full
system scan. From now on, do both daily.

Try
regsvr32 urlmon.dll
instead of
regsvr32 urimon.dll

or:
From http://www.fjsmjs.com/OE/nolinks.htm

Open Windows Explorer.
Go to Tools | Folder Options | File Types.
Scroll down to URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol and select it.
Click Edit or Advanced, depending on your Windows version.
Select 'open'.
Click Edit.

"Application used to perform this action" should read:

"C:\PROGRAM FILES\INTERNET EXPLORER\iexplore.exe" -nohome
(Check the path to iexplore.exe to make sure that is correct and use the
double quotes.)

DDE should be checked and in the boxes below it you should have:

#1:
"%1",,-1,0,,,,
#2
IExplore
#3 (blank)

#4
WWW_OpenURL

URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol with Privacy should be the same.

Sometimes it is necessary to uncheck Use DDE.

If that doesn't fix it, go to Start | Run and type

regsvr32 urlmon.dll

IEFix is just trying to run SFC Scannow. Keep new versions of the files [unless you are notified about file version conflicts by Windows XP System File Protection]
