really necessary?

do i need all of these or just one: quicktime,rhapsody,sonic? also, can
anyone tell me what these mean: adobe reader, ATI control panel & display
driver, java, sigma tel audo, J2SE runtime enviroment 5.0. i know this is
alot to ask but this is what this site is all about, right??????

adobe reader: allows you to view pdf files
ATI control panel: graphics control panel
java:program language needed to view some banking sites /google world
etc
sigmatel audio: audio driver oddly enough
j2se: see java above

do you need them all?, yes if you want to view pdfs, hear CDs/
mp3s I think you get the idea ?

As far as Media Players are concerned, I only install two, Windows Media
Player & Quicktime. These two will play most video & audio formats thrown at
it. Beyond that it's basically preference of one over the other. No need for
all of them.
