Reading Pane & Viruses

Help says using RP won't open e-mail msgs, allowing viewing. When I look at
the RP version, it opens the msg envelope! How do I use RP without opening
msgs? I'm afraid of viruses, etc.

The reading pane for any more recent version of Outlook won't execute
attachments or Active X controls, so you're safe as long as you don't open
any attachment.
