reading office 2003 attachments in office 2002

I am running outlook 2002 with no problems but when a friend who has office
2003 the attachments he sends become part of the body of the email and cannot
be read. All other attachments from other sources can be opened and read
with no problems. Anyone got any thoughts on this?

You are right I do need a fix. The problem though is not reading the
documents but finding out why the attachments get all jumbled up by outlook
and put into the main body of the email. If I download the attachment
directly from the web mail I can read it ok. As far as I can see there is
nothing on microsoft for this problem.

Go to Microsoft and see if they have a fix for that. 2002 does not have the
lines to handle something that was made after it like 2003. You need a fix.
