Read-only network printer name

Guest

I've got a printer that's connected to (and shared by) another computer on my
home network that's capable of duplex printing. I want to install two
instances of this printer on my computer (one duplex, one non-duplex), but
when the printer wizard finds the network printer I can't change the printer
name (and thus can't have two installations).

Any ideas out there?

You can create a local printer(s) that uses a Local Port in the format
\\remotemachine\printshare

Both printers can use the same port. Name the printer to indicate it's
default and setup the printer settings for that purpose

Thanks, Alan. That worked like a champ. I had to do a "Windows Update" to
get my printer (Samsung CLP-500 Series) to show up in the list, but once I
crossed that hurdle all was good!
