After creating a new User ID (admin) and password, My
Network Places does not show up on the desktop when I log
in with this new ID and password. Why??

When you right click the desktop and choose properties, then the desktop
tab, then the customize desktop button, is there a checkmark in the box by
my network places?

.
I finally found the customize desktop button and clicked
the box next to my network places - the icon now shows up
on the desktop but now the icon for "Entire Network"
doesn't show up inside the "My Network Places" folder.
Any Suggestions??

My Windows XP computers don't have an icon for "Entire Network". Have
you seen it on an XP computer? If so, where?

To see the other computers in your workgroup, click "View workgroup
computers". Then, press the Backspace key to see all of the
workgroups on the network.

Where did that screen shot come from, Dodo? It looks to me like it's
from Windows Explorer.

I don't see anything like that inside the My Network Places folder,
which is what Bob asked about and what I replied about.

It is the folder bar from Windows Explorer and it shows Entire Network to be
inside of My Network Places, eventhough it's not there when you look inside
of My Network Places. Entire Network is only available on the folder bar.
