I just loaded XP Home on a desk top computer. I shared a hard drive on the
desktop but it doesn't show up in My Network Places. I also have a home net
work with two computers and a hub. On my laptop I can see the other desktop
but when I click on it i get this message (Desktop is not accessible. You
might not have permission to use this network resource.) Can anyone help with
this?

Randy,

Your problem is generally caused by a misconfigured or overlooked personal
firewall, or inconsistent NetBT setting.

We could look at logs from "browstat status", "ipconfig /all", "net config
server", and "net config workstation", from each computer, and try to diagnose
the problem. Read this article, and linked articles, and follow instructions
precisely (download browstat!):

Or, you can read about other possibilities.
