RE-installing XP over XP with SP1 included

Hi, I'm trying to replace XP SP1 O/s with the earlier XP.
I have an application that won't run under XP SP1. I
don't have the original XP CD, only the later CD with SP1
included. So when I try to install from a copy of XP, the
Product Key from the SP1 install is rejected. I've tried
booting from a floppy, but it doesn't see the C drive.
How can I return my PC to XP, without SP1? Really
appreciate any ideas.
