Re: How can I go to the next slide after an animation completes in PPT

B

Bill Dilworth

PowerPoint can not animate a transition, but it can transition into an
animation, sooooo ...

If you have a slide that you want the wogget to sclarf off of, then
immediately transition to the next slide, here is how you do it. Copy the
first slide, so now the presentation looks like:
Slide A
Copy of slide A
Slide B

On slide A -- Remove the animation effects (not the objects, just the
effects)

On Copy of slide A -- Set the transition type to 'No Transition', set the
animations to start 'After Previous', and set the slide to 'Advance
Automatically' after 00:01 seconds.

On slide B -- leave enough time for the thunderous applause.

What will happen is this. 1) Slide A will be shown and hold for as long as
you want. 2) When the next advance is cued, the display will change to the
Copy of slide A, but there will be no change in the appearance(because both
slides look the same). The animation will start and finish and then the
show will advance to Slide B.

If you feel that an animation to trigger the transition should be in the
next version of PowerPoint (as I do) please:
